GARY MUUREN APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT HUMAN RESOURCES

TNDC is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Muuren to Vice President, Human Resources, effective February 18, 2025. In this senior leadership position, Gary will lead all facets of Human Resources, implementing innovative HR strategies and organizational development aligning with TNDC’s mission, values and strategic priorities.

Gary is a dynamic and results-driven human resources and operations leader with over 20 years of experience across Indigenous business, construction, forestry and healthcare, transforming organizations, leading large-scale operations, and fostering talent development. Gary brings expertise in strategic alignment, performance optimization, and creation of inclusive, high-performance workplace cultures.

Most recently, Gary was Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Operations at Nch'ḵay̓ Development Corporation, the economic development arm of the Squamish Nation. Prior to that Gary was Director, Human Resources with JJM Construction Ltd., in heavy civil and marine construction. Previously, he was Vice President Human Resources, with Paper Excellence, in pulp and paper, and Vice President Human Resources and Organizational Development with Baptist Housing, a BC Health Care Provider.

Gary holds a Master of Business Administration from Royal Roads University, and Honours Degree in HR Development and Bachelor of Arts Degree, both from the University of Johannesburg. He also holds Chartered Professional in HR and Society of HR Management, Senior Certified Professional designations.
