CELEBRATING TAHLTAN DAY ON OCTOBER 18THOn October 18th, we come together to celebrate Tahltan Day, a day that holds profound meaning for the Tahltan Nation and for all of us at TNDC. This day commemorates the signing of the 1910 Declaration of the Tahltan Tribe — a powerful moment in history when Tahltans stood united, asserting their sovereignty, and their rights to their land. This year marks the 114th anniversary of the Declaration. As the business arm of the Tahltan Nation, our mission is to promote economic growth while honouring values like respect for the land, cultural preservation, and community strength. We strive to create sustainable opportunities for the Tahltan people and the region, aligning with the vision outlined in the Declaration.
What the 1910 Declaration Means for TNDC:
TNDC is committed to incorporating the 1910 Declaration into its mission and operations. By celebrating this day with pride and purpose, TNDC honours the legacy of the Declaration and reaffirms its commitment to building a future where the Tahltan Nation continues to thrive.
