BRINGING HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES TO OUR TAHLTAN COMMUNITIESEmbracing a Grinchmas theme, the 24th Annual TNDC Community Christmas Party, held December 14th in Dease Lake, brought festive fun to Tahltan Territory. Both Santa and the Grinch made special appearances, delighting the little ones. Festivities included food, games, prizes and gifts for the children, youth and adults as well as Ugly Christmas Sweater, Gingerbread Decorating (Whoville-themed) and Best Grinch Impersonation contests. Attendees also hammed it up in a photo booth with photographer Jozef Bienkowski-Gibbs. This festive event brings excitement and happiness to children, youth and families living in the communities of Iskut, Dease Lake, Good Hope Lake, Iskut, Telegraph Creek and surrounding communities. Entry was a non-perishable donation for the Stikine Food Bank, which supports families in need in the region. TNDC takes pride in hosting this special community event each year, with support from community individuals and organizations, our partners, suppliers and our team. The list of contributors is extensive.
Special thanks to the Tahltan Band/Peoples Haven who contributed the food and beverages (Fred Moyer, Mikayla Nole, Terrilynn Nole), the many angels who provided baked goods (Sheila Davidson, Stephany Meunier, Hazel Sharko) and event support (Shana Dennis and the 2025 Dease Lake School Grads – Mackenzie Dennis, Melody Dennis, Paisley Dennis, Calab Watson), as well as TNDC’s board of directors, local staff and management for their on-site event support.
